Bilberry leaf is a low-growing perennial shrub bearing black berries native to Europe. The name bilberry may be Scandinavian in origin. It is also known as whortleberry in Southern England. It is closely related to the North American blueberry.
Warning: It shouldn’t be used in combination with aspirin or anticoagulants like warfarin due to its platelet aggregation inhibiting effect.
